DIN 580 is the lifting eye bolt standard used across the region, and we stock it in Umm Al Quwain from M6 to M36 in forged carbon steel and stainless A2 / A4 — zinc plated, hot-dip galvanized or plain — each size marked with its working load and supplied with a test certificate.
A DIN 580 lifting eye bolt is drop forged with a collar (shoulder) under the eye and a short, full-thread shank. Screwed down until the collar seats, it provides a certified lifting point on machines, motors, moulds, panels and enclosures. The working load is stamped on the eye and applies to a vertical lift; angled lifts are permitted with the load reduced per the DIN 580 table. The matching nut is the DIN 582 lifting eye nut.
Applications
- Lifting points on motors, gearboxes and pumps
- Moulds, dies and press tooling
- Switchgear, transformers and enclosures
- Precast concrete and steel fabrications
- HVAC units, chillers and generator sets
- Marine equipment and hatches (stainless)
