A hex flange bolt has a wide circular flange under the head that acts as a built-in washer, increasing the bearing area and protecting the surface. The serrated version has ribs on the flange face that dig in slightly to resist loosening under vibration. Bolts to DIN 6921 / ISO 4162 / ISO 8102 (fine thread), property class 8.8 and 10.9 to ISO 898-1, threads ISO 965 6g. Flange plain or serrated. Nuts DIN 6923 flange nut. Finishes zinc plated (blue / yellow) to ISO 4042, zinc flake, hot-dip galvanized to ISO 10684.
