L anchor bolts are the most common foundation bolt in the Gulf, and we make them in our own plant in Umm Al Quwain: bar is cut, the hook is formed on a bending die, the shank is thread-rolled and the finished bolt is independently tested. Sizes run from M6 to M125 and every batch ships with a material certificate.
An L anchor bolt (also called an L-type foundation bolt or bent anchor bolt) is a straight threaded rod with a 90° bend at the embedded end. The hook develops pull-out resistance in the concrete without a separate anchor plate, which makes it the economical choice for column bases, equipment plinths and fence or pole footings. The bend length and shank projection are set by the foundation designer; we form them to the drawing.
Applications
- Steel column base plates and portal frames
- Pre-engineered building (PEB) foundations
- Machine, pump and generator plinths
- Boundary fencing, gates and lighting poles
- Precast and tilt-up panel connections
- Substation and switchgear supports
Standards, grades & finishes
We manufacture L anchor bolts to ASTM F1554 (Grade 36 / 55 / 105), ISO 898-1 property classes 4.6 and 8.8 or to a customer specification, from S275JR, S355JR, EN8, EN19 or 42CrMo4 bar. Threads are metric coarse or UNC. Standard finishes are self colour, hot-dip galvanized to ISO 1461 / ASTM F2329 and electro zinc plated. Nuts and plate washers are supplied to match.
Anchor bolts, studs and plate washers are manufactured in our own ISO 9001:2015 plant in Emirates Modern Industrial Area, Umm Al Quwain, with calibrated in-house dimensional and thread inspection. Tensile, hardness and chemical testing is carried out by independent UAE-accredited laboratories, and EN 10204 3.1 certificates are issued with every batch. We supply across the GCC, MENA and Africa.
