Dowel pins locate one part precisely against another — die sets, machine tables, gearbox housings — and we stock ISO 8734 / DIN 6325 hardened and ground pins in Umm Al Quwain from 2 to 30 mm diameter and 4 to 200 mm long, in alloy steel (60 HRC) and stainless A1, plus DIN 7 soft pins and extractable (tapped) pins.
A dowel pin is a solid cylindrical pin ground to a close tolerance (m6 for press fit, h6 for slip fit) with chamfered or radiused ends. Pressed into a reamed hole, it provides exact alignment and carries shear between the parts, so bolts only have to clamp. ISO 8734 Type A (DIN 6325) is through-hardened to 60 HRC for repeated assembly; DIN 7 is unhardened for general use; ISO 8735 has an internal thread for extraction from blind holes.
