We produce dowel bars in our Umm Al Quwain plant from plain round bar: cut to length, chamfered, cleaned and debonded on one half with grease or a bond-breaker sleeve as specified. Diameters 16 to 40 mm and lengths 300 to 600 mm are standard; epoxy coating and galvanizing are available for aggressive ground conditions.
A dowel bar is a smooth, straight steel bar placed across a contraction or construction joint in a concrete pavement or slab. It transfers wheel load from one slab to the next while allowing the joint to open and close with temperature, because one half is debonded and slides in the concrete. Correct alignment is critical, which is why dowels are usually supplied pre-assembled in dowel baskets.

Standards, grades & finishes
Bar to ASTM A615 Grade 40 / 60 or BS 4482 / EN 10025 S275, plain round, cut square and chamfered to avoid spalling. Debonding by grease, bituminous coating or plastic sleeve per the pavement specification. Epoxy coating to ASTM A775 or hot-dip galvanizing to ISO 1461 on request. Supplied loose, bundled by size or assembled into welded dowel baskets.
Anchor bolts, studs and plate washers are manufactured in our own ISO 9001:2015 plant in Emirates Modern Industrial Area, Umm Al Quwain, with calibrated in-house dimensional and thread inspection. Tensile, hardness and chemical testing is carried out by independent UAE-accredited laboratories, and EN 10204 3.1 certificates are issued with every batch. We supply across the GCC, MENA and Africa.
