Coupling nuts join two threaded rods end to end or connect a stud to a hanger, and we stock DIN 6334 in Umm Al Quwain from M5 to M36 in steel class 6 / 8 and stainless A2 / A4, zinc plated, hot-dip galvanized or plain, with reducing and hex-to-round types on request.
A long nut (coupling nut, extension nut) is a hex nut three diameters long, threaded through, so two rods can be screwed in from each end and locked with jam nuts. It is the standard connector for threaded rod hangers, chemical anchor extensions and tie rods, and is also used with a left-hand / right-hand thread as a simple turnbuckle. Reducing coupling nuts join two different diameters.
