Castle nuts are positive-locking nuts used with a split pin on axles, pins and linkages where the nut must never back off. We stock DIN 935 / ISO 7035 in Umm Al Quwain from M5 to M36 in class 6, 8 and 10 and stainless A2, zinc plated or plain, with split pins to suit.
A castle nut (castellated nut) has slots cut across its upper face. Once tightened, a split pin (cotter pin) is pushed through the slots and a cross-drilled hole in the bolt, mechanically locking the nut in position regardless of vibration or load reversal. DIN 935 is the standard-height castle nut; DIN 937 is the low form for confined spaces.

Nuts to DIN 935 / ISO 7035 (DIN 937 low form on request), property class 6, 8 and 10 to ISO 898-2, stainless A2 / A4 to ISO 3506-2, threads ISO 965 6H coarse or fine (DIN 935-1). Finishes zinc plated to ISO 4042, plain, hot-dip galvanized. Split pins to DIN 94 / ISO 1234 supplied to match.
This item is imported from approved mills and held in stock in our Umm Al Quwain warehouse alongside the anchor bolts, studs and plate washers we manufacture ourselves, so complete bolt sets ship from one source. Tensile, hardness and chemical testing is carried out by independent UAE-accredited laboratories, and EN 10204 3.1 certificates are issued with every batch. We supply across the GCC, MENA and Africa.
