Channel nuts slide into strut channel and lock behind the lips, so brackets, hangers and clamps can be fixed anywhere along the rail. We stock them in Umm Al Quwain from M6 to M20 with long spring, short spring and no spring, zinc plated, hot-dip galvanized and stainless A4.
A spring nut (channel nut, strut nut) is a rectangular nut with serrated grooves that engage the inturned lips of a strut channel (41 × 41, 41 × 21 or 41 × 62). The spring holds the nut in position while the bolt is started; once tightened the grooves bite into the lips and lock. Channel nuts are the basis of every strut support system for pipes, cable trays, HVAC and electrical services.
Applications
- Pipe supports and clamps on strut channel
- Cable tray, ladder and conduit brackets
- HVAC duct hangers and equipment frames
- Electrical panels and busbar supports
- Solar panel rails and seismic bracing
- Mezzanine and modular frame assemblies
