Hillside washers give a square seat for a nut on an angled surface — the sloping flange of a beam or channel, or a rod that meets a plate at an angle — and we stock them in Umm Al Quwain from M12 to M36 in ductile cast iron and steel, hot-dip galvanized or plain.
A hillside washer is a self-aligning washer: a cast body with a curved (cambered) underside and a countersunk hole. Placed on the sloped face, it rocks to find its own seat so the nut bears evenly and the bolt is not bent — accommodating angles up to about 15°. It replaces the wedge (taper) washer where the angle is unknown or variable, and is common on tie rods, tensioned cables and machinery hold-downs.
Applications
- Tie rods and bracing on sloped beam flanges
- Guy anchors and cable tensioners at an angle
- Machinery and conveyor hold-downs on channels
- Bridge deck hangers and sway bracing
- Pipe rack and support angles
- Timber and log construction (large series)

This item is imported from approved mills and held in stock in our Umm Al Quwain warehouse alongside the anchor bolts, studs and plate washers we manufacture ourselves, so complete bolt sets ship from one source. We supply across the GCC, MENA and Africa.
