Weld-on square nuts give a threaded fixing on fabricated steel — brackets, tube frames, base plates — where a tapped hole would be too thin or a loose nut inaccessible. We stock them in Umm Al Quwain from M10 to M24 in plain low-carbon steel for both projection and arc welding.
This square weld nut is the heavier fabrication version of the DIN 928 sheet-metal nut: thicker, with a plain or pilot face, suited to MIG / TIG or projection welding onto plate 3 mm and up, angles and hollow sections. Once welded, the nut becomes a permanent threaded boss for bolts, studs or levelling screws. Supplied unplated so the weld is clean; the fabrication is galvanized or painted afterwards.
Applications
- Column base plates and steel frames
- Tube and hollow-section furniture and racks
- Equipment brackets and mounting plates
- Trailer chassis and vehicle frames
- Cable ladder and support fabrications
- Levelling feet and adjuster bosses
